Meghan Markle is set to return to the UK with Prince Harry next week for the first time since 2022, and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet may accompany them. While Harry reportedly seeks a reunion with King Charles for personal reasons, royal expert Tom Sykes suggests Meghan has a different agenda: financial gain.
Meghan's Motive: Commercial Value
Speaking on The Royals Uncensored, Sykes, host of The Royalist Substack, said: “I would find it incredibly unlikely that Meghan would pass up the opportunity to introduce those children to King Charles. It’s so commercially valuable for them to get back alongside the royal family, to cement the kids as prince and princess – even if down the road William does change that status.” He added: “If they have that photo of them and King Charles, that is incredibly valuable. I don’t think there is any way on earth that Meghan is going to give up the opportunity.”
Children's Private Engagements
Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, will not participate in public engagements if they travel to the UK. Instead, they will only attend private meetings, such as with their grandfather King Charles. The family has not been in Britain together since 2022.
Security Concerns and Royal Residence Offer
Harry is still exploring ways to bring his children safely to Britain after learning they will not receive armed police protection. Reports indicate the family has been offered a stay at a royal residence, which would provide a high degree of security. The exact residence has not been confirmed.
King Charles's Stance
King Charles has not commented on Harry's upcoming visit. He last saw his youngest son in September 2025.
