Meghan Markle has shared a cryptic new video on her As Ever Instagram account, hours after reports of a possible acting return made headlines. The Duchess of Sussex, 45, posted the footage of herself walking through a wooded area holding a basket of apples.
In the video, the duchess — dressed in a black dress, cream cardigan and boots — pauses to look up at a tree before continuing on her way. The clip was captioned: “A little hint of what’s coming,” followed by an apple emoji.
Speculation over acting role and UK move
The post comes after a week of headlines suggesting the Sussex family are relocating to the UK. It is believed the move back to Britain — the country Harry and Meghan left in 2020 — could be linked to Meghan securing a new acting role.
Meghan has not confirmed this, but rumours have circulated that she could be cast in the third season of the Netflix series The Gentlemen. Advanced talks were reportedly underway, which may have influenced the family’s decision to return.
However, it was later claimed that Meghan would no longer be cast on the series after backlash from the British public. Royal author Tina Brown said: “I learned that the casting of Meghan Markle has been withdrawn.”
Netflix has not confirmed this, and Harry and Meghan’s team have yet to comment.
Children set to start school in September
Regardless of the acting role, the family are still believed to be moving back to the UK. Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, have reportedly been enrolled in schools starting in September. The location of the private non-royal home has been kept private.
Harry and Meghan are not expected to become working royals again. The Daily Express has contacted a representative for Meghan Markle for comment.
