Kim Kardashian has clarified why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were removed from a photo carousel posted from Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party in November. Speaking on her sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Kim explained that the couple had initially agreed to be photographed but later asked for the images to be taken down due to Remembrance Day.
Kim stated: 'It was really innocent, which is so crazy. Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.' She added that they were told it was 'totally cool to post' but that Meghan and Harry changed their minds after realising it was Remembrance Day, a British memorial honouring fallen service members.
The party, hosted by Jeff and Lauren Bezos in Beverly Hills, took place the night before royal family members attended solemn Remembrance Day events in London. Kim noted that the couple had also attended the Baby2Baby gala that same night, which 'was fine, but maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor.'
Kim suggested the situation could have been handled with humour, proposing a mock Skims campaign where photos would be posted and then deleted. She concluded: 'I hated how that was received for everyone. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.'
