A dancing robot resembling Marvel superhero Iron Man has been spotted at the newly opened Mr T's restaurant in Glasgow, where it entertains customers while wearing a kilt.
Robot's Debut at Mr T's
The British fast food chain opened its first Scottish branch in Tradeston last week. Footage shared on Mr T's official TikTok page shows the robot dressed in an oversized branded t-shirt with a kilt underneath, performing energetic dance moves and fist pumping the air.
The video, captioned "Iron Man at your service in Mr T's," drew mixed reactions from Scots in the comments. One user replied in disbelief: "That's crazy," while another skeptical user wrote: "All fun and games until its eyes turn red and it kills all the customers."
Public Reactions
A third joked: "Avengers doomsday looks s****." Another asked: "Is that a temu special?" While someone else admitted: "Why do I feel sorry for him?"
In another video, the robot is seen sitting at a table with a large Mr T's scan, seemingly brushing up on its customer service skills after its dancing act.
Kilted Robot Trend
This isn't the first kilted robot to go viral. During the Scottish World Cup celebrations in Miami, a two-legged walking kilted robot dubbed 'Robot the Bruce' was seen partying with the Tartan Army in Southern Florida.
Now, kilted robots have officially arrived in Glasgow.
Mr T's Expansion
Mr T's opened on July 30 at 148 Nelson St in Kinning Park. Founded in England in 2016 by CEO Tauseef Malik, the first restaurant opened in Bradford. Since then, Mr T's has expanded to Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, Batley, and now Glasgow.
The new eatery offers a range of items including meat-filled toasties, pizzas, burgers, wraps, wings, and more. It has been popular with Glaswegians, with huge queues forming outside each day since it opened.
