Roman Kemp's Candid Admission About Princess Kate Debunks Meghan Markle's Royal Claim

Radio presenter Roman Kemp has revealed that the Princess of Wales took off her shoes when visiting his family home, a gesture that contradicts a claim made by Meghan Markle about royal formality.

In a new interview, Kemp spoke about meeting Kate in February 2023 for her Shaping Us mental health campaign. He told The Sun: 'I remember when she arrived, she could see everyone else had taken their shoes off so she offered to take hers off. It was surreal. Somehow, you never expect to see a member of the royal family in their socks!'

The admission debunks a claim from Meghan Markle's 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, where she alleged that the royal family maintained formality even behind closed doors. Meghan recalled meeting Prince William and Kate for the first time, saying: 'Even when Will and Kate came over... I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot. I started to understand that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.'

Kemp also revealed that Kate sent a thank-you letter after the visit, mentioning that Prince George enjoyed the juice and asking for more. 'Working with her was amazing. She very kindly wrote me a thank-you note too, which I have framed on my wall at home,' he added.
