The Princess of Wales made a striking appearance in an all-black Alessandra Rich dress at the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, held at the Royal Albert Hall. She attended alongside her husband, the Prince of Wales, marking their first joint appearance at the event in two years.
Royal Attendance and Attire
Catherine accessorised with statement earrings that once belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II and wore two brooches: the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch and a specially crafted poppy by Izzy Ager of Lock & Co., a recent graduate of The Royal School of Needlework. The poppy, which she also wore last year, is handmade from silk, glass, and other natural materials, with all proceeds going to The Poppy Appeal.
She was joined by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and other members of the Royal Family, all of whom wore red poppies.
Performances and Reflections
The evening, hosted by journalist Clive Myrie, featured performances from Alfie Boe, James Emmanuel, Mica Paris, Rita Wilson, and Tom Odell, along with the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment and the Bands of HM Royal Marines Portsmouth (Royal Band) and Collingwood.
Through personal stories, the festival reflected on the experiences of those affected by conflict, including anniversaries of operations in Bosnia, the end of the Gulf War, and the Iraq War. It also highlighted the realities of deployment and separation faced by serving families in 2026.
