Prince William and Kate Middleton's family sailing trip in the Greek islands reportedly involved an unusual culinary demand from Prince George. The young royal allegedly requested a particular food item from a specific restaurant during the luxury yacht holiday last month.
The request came as the royals left Kefalonia and sailed southward towards Zakynthos. A crew member from the superyacht was sent ashore to collect a meal, potentially from a well-known fast food chain, for the prince. A source told MailOnline: 'George required a specific dietary item which led to the tender going ashore in Zakynthos to purchase it. Nothing extravagant, just something particular.'
While the exact item remains unknown, Zakynthos is one of the few Greek islands with a McDonald's on the mainland. The young royal may have opted for a Big Mac or chicken nuggets over the gourmet cuisine aboard the superyacht.
It is no secret that the royals enjoy fast food occasionally. Princess Diana was known to treat Princes William and Harry to KFC and burgers. Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli previously revealed that Prince George's favourite meal is spaghetti carbonara, and the Prince of Wales has mentioned that George and Princess Charlotte enjoy making 'cheesy pasta' at home.
