Juno Temple has revealed she is married to Michal Szymanski, whom she met while working on the hit Apple TV show Ted Lasso. The actress, who plays Keeley Jones, shared the news ahead of the release of season four.
How They Met
Temple, 37, met Szymanski during season two, where he played the driver for her on-screen boss and friend Rebecca Welton, portrayed by Hannah Waddingham. Speaking to Chris Evans, Temple said: “I got married, we met on season two of Ted Lasso.”
Waddingham added that Temple asked her permission to date Szymanski: “She said, ‘Can I ask him on a date?’ I said, ‘Yes you can’. He was my driver.” Temple explained: “He was driving Hannah and they had a secret code where I could go and meet them and accidentally Hannah’s appointment would run over.”
Blessing and Support
Waddingham expressed her support for the couple, joking she warned Szymanski: “Look after my girl or I will punch you square in the face.” She added: “They are the greatest oxygen to each other in the universe.”
Temple went public with her relationship in 2022 at the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick. They have since attended events together, including the Critics Choice Awards in 2024 and the premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, in which Temple starred.
Previous Relationship
Before Szymanski, Temple dated actor Michael Angarano from 2013 to 2016. She reprises her role as Keeley Jones in the new season of Ted Lasso, released on August 5.
