Chris Ship, ITV News Royal Editor, has said the Duchess of Sussex made a key error while asking for privacy for herself and her family. Speaking on the latest episode of the ITV News show Talking Royals with Charlene White and Lizzie Robinson, he pointed to Meghan's most recent Instagram post and a detail that could reveal where she and Prince Harry own a holiday home.
Meghan shared a series of photos from the family's summer adventures, one of which appeared to be taken inside a restaurant in Portugal. The couple reportedly bought a holiday home in the country in 2023 for £3.6 million, with plans to redecorate.

Ship drew attention to the image while discussing privacy. "I'd say when it comes to privacy if they have bought a holiday home and you are able to reverse Google search that image of that restaurant then that's probably the mistake," he said.
He added: "If you are worried about your privacy don't share where the restaurant was."
The Sussexes' Portugal Villa
The property is said to be in the same Portuguese resort where Princess Eugenie, Prince Harry's cousin, stays during the summer months. The royal homes are close to Comporta and Melides, no more than an hour's drive from Lisbon.
In the Instagram post, Meghan gave glimpses of the family's trip to Europe, including moments from a visit to a Mediterranean country. Some pictures showed the family on the beach, while others captured Portugal's cobblestone streets and quaint shops.
'Normal Family Time' in Portugal
Sources close to the Sussexes told People magazine: "They love Portugal because Archie and Lilibet can simply be kids. It's always very low-key with beach days, playing and spending time together as a family."
They added that the kind of "normal family time" they get in Portugal is "important" to the couple. "That kind of normal family time is really important to Harry and Meghan," the source continued.
According to the outlet, the country also offers a "practical advantage" because it is only a few hours from Britain, which helps with Harry's bid to be closer to the UK and spend more time with family and friends.
