Harry and Meghan Criticized by Hollywood Insider Over UK Return
Hollywood Insider Slams Harry and Meghan Over UK Return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they will return to the UK, a move that has taken the world by surprise. The couple, who have lived in California for several years, are set to move back with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Hollywood Insiders Question Their Success

Many in the Hollywood industry have recently shared that the entertainment world has not embraced Harry and Meghan as the couple had hoped. Some say this has contributed to their decision to return to the UK.

Rick Nicita, a producer and former super-agent who was a principal at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), said the Duke and Duchess are the latest to fail to "buy their way" into Hollywood. "They had money," he said, adding in a seven-word analysis: "And that was their ticket to entry."

Criticism of Their Hollywood Credentials

Nicita further explained: "And I have absolutely nothing at all against Harry and Meghan, but they weren’t bringing anything tangible to the table other than their celebrity in a different sphere of life. So why would anyone give them money to make anything, since it’s not clear what their credentials were?"

He noted that it would still be possible for them to succeed in Hollywood if they get the opportunity for their creative instincts to match the zeitgeist. "No one should be counted out," he added.

Return to the UK and Other Criticism

The couple's return to the UK comes after their reunion with King Charles III in July, with insiders recently reporting that Prince Harry planned to visit the UK more frequently.

Nicita is not the first to comment on Harry and Meghan's position in Hollywood. Gossip columnist Rob Shuter recently said he believes Meghan is not well-liked in Hollywood. "Harry still has some affection towards him in Hollywood," Shuter said on a recent episode of The Nerve with Maureen Callahan. "Meghan does not."

He added: "They don’t like her. They tolerated her. They pretended to tolerate her in the beginning, and now she’s intolerable. They just don’t want her. And to think that of all the people that she’s decided now to pick a fight with, it’s Martha Stewart, who Hollywood does like."
