Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to make her TV comeback with a new chat show on Disney+, three years after leaving This Morning. The 45-year-old presenter is said to be filming a pilot for the show in the coming weeks.
New Show Details
According to a source, the show will be called 'The Holding Space with Holly Willoughby' and will feature the presenter interviewing high-profile women. The insider told The Sun: "The whole premise of the show is empowerment and authenticity, with Holly leading the conversation. It’s a really ambitious project, with really high production values."
The source also suggested that production company Box To Box has invested significantly in the project and expressed confidence that Disney+ will be its home. This comes after Holly launched her own podcast and YouTube show, 'Holly Willoughby Together', which first aired last month and has already featured interviews with actor Stanley Tucci, comedian Katherine Ryan, and Celebrity Traitors star Joanne McNally.
Holly's Return to TV
Holly left This Morning amid the Phillip Schofield scandal and has been off air since. She has expressed a desire to return to presenting, telling The Times: "I hope one day, when the time’s right and the project’s right, that I will go back and do some telly stuff. I’m a telly girl, and I love it."
In a recent episode of her podcast, Holly opened up about her insecurities growing up in the nineties, particularly during the 'Kate Moss waif' era. She admitted to feeling pressure to look a certain way, saying: "We grew up in a time of Kate Moss waif, so that was not my friend growing up." Joanne McNally, 43, replied: "I remember having any curves was just the most horrifying thing." Holly agreed, explaining her preference for clothes that accentuate her waist: "I want to show my waist because that’s the smallest bit because my bum is big."
Despite Joanne's compliments, insisting Holly had the "perfect figure", Holly countered: "No I do not, I do not."
