Prince Harry reportedly had one question for his uncle, Earl Charles Spencer, after learning about the release of his book about Princess Diana's death. The Duke of Sussex, 42, is said to be close to Earl Spencer, and has been since his mother passed away in 1997.
This year, the duke stayed with his uncle at the Althorp Estate, bringing his wife and children. Earl Spencer is also believed to have flown to Montecito to spend time with Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry's question revealed
Despite their close relationship, Earl Spencer has claimed that Harry did not know about the book "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister" until the same day as the rest of the world. The Earl reportedly did not want readers to think Harry could have been involved in the contents of the book, which have proven controversial.
While Harry was reportedly fine with the book being published, Earl Spencer has claimed that his nephew did have one question on his mind. Talking to Gayle King during a "CBS Mornings" interview Monday, Earl Spencer revealed that Harry asked: "Is there anything in there that would be embarrassing to me?"
Book's release and reaction
This suggests that Harry was worried about how he would be perceived in the book. Earl Spencer reportedly told both Harry and Prince William on the same day. He also said that the book does not invade their privacy, despite the fact it is very focused on their late mother and has accusations against their father in it.
Neither Harry nor William has made any public comment about the book.
