Prince Harry has revealed that he was so disturbed after watching Meghan Markle's love scenes in the TV show Suits that he felt he needed 'electric shock therapy' to erase the images from his mind. In his memoir Spare, Harry admitted he made the mistake of googling and watching some of her romantic scenes online, where he saw her 'mauling' a co-star in an office or conference room. He said: 'It would take electric shock therapy to get those images out of my head. I didn't need to see such things live.'
The couple met in 2016 after being set up by a friend, and Harry wanted to catch up on Meghan's acting career. She played paralegal Rachel Zane in the hit series Suits, which was filmed in Toronto. Harry had even considered visiting the set during a trip to see her, but after watching the clips, he ditched the idea.
Meghan's character Rachel had a steamy tryst with Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, in the season finale of the second series. The scene took place in a filing room, which both actors later described as 'weird'. Meghan agreed, saying: 'Of course it was weird!'
Separately, Suits creator Aaron Korsch revealed that the Royal Family had objected to Meghan's character saying the word 'poppycock' on the show, fearing it could be edited to make her appear to say a vulgar term. The line was changed to 'bulls***' instead, much to Korsch's irritation. He clarified that it was not Meghan who made the request.
