Prince Harry has been warned that making a public appearance at a major event while Prince William is in India for the Earthshot Prize would leave the Prince of Wales "hopping mad", according to a royal expert.
The Prince of Wales is scheduled to travel to India later this year to host the 2026 Earthshot Prize Awards, one of the biggest areas of his royal work. The future king is said to be passionate about protecting the planet.
While Harry's move back to the UK has not appeared to affect William so far, one royal commentator has identified a specific scenario that would anger him: Harry stepping out at a large event during William's time in India.
Expert's warning on overshadowing
Speaking to New Magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: "If the really big events, such as the Earthshot Prize and the visit to India, get overshadowed (by Harry), William would understandably be hopping mad."
She added: "Harry and Meghan would be wise to avoid such a clash. That shouldn't be rocket science."
Bond also commented on the brothers' ongoing rift, saying: "A dignified silence through all the turmoil and drama so far is how William and Kate have chosen to behave. Anything they say or do about the Harry 'problem' is certain to give the story even more legs' as we say in journalism - it will be splashed over every media outlet. So perhaps silence is indeed the best path."
Brothers not on talking terms
Prince Harry and Prince William have not been on talking terms for some time and are not believed to have met up despite Harry living back in the country. William has not commented on his younger brother's return, and it is believed he has no immediate plans to see him.
It is believed the brothers have not spoken since Harry released his memoir Spare in 2023.
