Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will visit the UK next month with their children Archie and Lilibet and have reportedly been offered royal accommodation for their stay.
Royal Residence Offer
The Sussexes, who now reside in Montecito, California, are set to return to the UK for a short visit next month. Reports indicate they have been offered a royal residence, though it is unclear which one. Previously, Harry reportedly turned down the chance to stay at Buckingham Palace due to security concerns.
Security Assurances
The duke has been assured that adequate security provisions will be in place for the trip, according to sources.
First Family Visit in Four Years
This will be the first time the Sussexes visit as a family in four years. Their children, Archie (seven) and Lilibet (five), last saw their grandfather, King Charles III, in person during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. It is not yet known if the King will meet them during this visit.
Invictus Games Countdown
The couple is returning to attend celebrations marking the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year. The Games, for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans, will take place from July 10-17, 2027.
Family Reconciliation Hopes
Harry last reunited with Charles in September 2025, their first meeting in 19 months. The duke lost a Court of Appeal challenge against the Home Office over his UK security arrangements in 2025, after which he expressed hopes of reconciliation but noted that Charles would not speak to him due to the legal battle. Harry had previously stated he could not see a world where he would bring his wife and children back to the UK.
Strained Relationships
Since stepping down from the working monarchy in 2020, Harry has made various accusations against the King, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton in interviews, a Netflix documentary, and his memoir Spare. He remains estranged from his brother, William.
The Mirror has approached the Palace and the Sussexes for comment.
