Harry and Meghan 'genuinely thrilled' after Nottingham visit

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were "genuinely thrilled" with how well their visit to Nottingham turned out. The royal couple made their first joint appearance since their shock return to the UK on Thursday, with Harry and Meghan now thought to be living somewhere in the Cotswolds with their two children.

Warm welcome at first stop

As the couple made their way to their first visit of the day, the city's Community Recording Studio (CRS), between 150 and 200 people arrived to warmly welcome them. The local community charity offers various youth development programmes.

The couple then moved into their second visit: the Himmah Hub, a community action group addressing food poverty in Nottingham. The couple finally made their way to Epic Partners in Nottingham, their last stop of the day.

Positive reactions from the couple

Speaking after the visit, a spokesperson for the couple told PEOPLE: "Everyone came away feeling really positive and genuinely thrilled by the love and support they received."

Meghan was overheard telling well-wishers that it was "great" to step out for the visit in the UK, with Harry also sharing the same sentiment in a statement with the BBC that it was "wonderful and great to be back in Nottingham too."
