Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be “delighted” after their meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla, new reports have claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex held an hour-long audience with His Majesty last week at Highgrove House, the King and Queen’s private residence in Gloucestershire.
Secret Meeting with the King
Harry and Meghan were joined by their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who saw their royal grandfather for the first time in four years. While it is not known what was said during the private meeting, sources have given fresh insight into the outcome of it. They said Harry and Meghan’s top priority was to keep the meeting a secret, and they are quite happy with how it turned out.
A source told Vanity Fair: “They are keeping the meeting top secret. They haven’t said anything to anyone. The agreement was made before they met the king that nothing would be shared—no photos, no details.” They added: “It was a top-secret arrangement and they pulled it off, and frankly, they are delighted about that.”
Public Reaction to the Leak
The latest revelations about the Highgrove meeting have sparked outrage among fans. One user said on X: “They are telling us they kept the meeting secret are no leaks while leaking to the press. The [Sussexes] are [clown emoji] and so stupid to do this. The King is not going to be happy.” Another commented: “I don't think KC will be surprised. If he is he's the only one. He seems hell-bent on bringing H back. This week proves it.” A third blasted: “Yep - nothing says ‘keeping quiet’ like a Sussex source yapping to Vanity Fair.”
Chaotic Week Preceded the Meeting
The “top-secret” meeting came after a chaotic week of varying statements from both sides regarding the duke’s accommodation and whether he would be joined by his family in his trip.
