Harry and Meghan blasted after latest move - 'cheap and crass'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised by royal fans after Meghan shared a series of photos on Instagram, offering a glimpse into their summer holiday. Some fans branded the move as "cheap" and "crass".

Instagram post sparks backlash

The post, captioned "Summer holiday", included a photo of Lilibet and Archie at Althorp Estate, Princess Diana's family home and final resting place. The family of four visited the estate during their recent UK trip, which also included a reunion with King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Royal fans and commentators expressed displeasure, with some criticising the timing and nature of the post. One Reddit user commented: "Harry has a lot to be grateful for in life. How many other people get to vacation in incredible places like this? I really can’t take his complaints that his life isn’t just so, honestly, it makes me sick."

Reactions from fans and William

Another user wrote: "The crazy part is I was thinking they would wait until sometime around the end of August to post such Diana 'pilgrimage'-related pics. Lmao I thought! Not only the day after George's birthday, but the lack of restraint in posting such pics re: 'pilgrimage to Diana' is so cheap and crass."

A third added: "All this beauty and they're still miserable. They appreciate NOTHING."

According to a source quoted by Closer, Prince William was reportedly "sickened" by the post. The source said: "The fact that they shared a photo of the children on the grounds of Diana’s family home has enraged William. He says it’s so obvious it was done to get headlines, and that sickens him."

The source added: "He doesn’t have any objection to Archie and Lilibet paying their respects to their late grandmother, but in his view, to turn it into a publicity grab is just beyond disrespectful, and he’s incredibly sad that they would stoop this low. That being said, he’s not the least bit shocked because this is exactly the sort of thing he was expecting to happen."
