Eugenie shares baby video for 8th wedding anniversary

Princess Eugenie marked her eighth wedding anniversary with husband Jack Brooksbank by sharing a video of Jack holding their two-month-old daughter Adelaide. The clip was posted on Instagram on Monday October 12.

Third child born in Portugal

Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank was born on August 3 in Lisbon, Portugal. She is the couple's third child, following sons August, five, and Ernest, three, who are known as Augie and Ernie.

Eugenie said Adelaide's name was a tribute to “three people we love and admire past and present”, including her late great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, and to reflect both English and Portuguese history – “two places we love and call home.”

Rare overseas royal birth

Adelaide's birth was a rare occasion where a member of the British royal family was born overseas, as Eugenie and Jack have a home and other connections in Portugal. Eugenie is the youngest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, and is currently 12th in line to the British throne.

In the video, Jack is seen holding the newborn in his arms, rubbing her head and rocking her from side to side. Eugenie captioned the post: “Happy 8 years married my love. What you can’t hear in this video is Jack asking our daughter if she likes her head being massaged that way… so thoughtful, caring, and best Dada there is to our 3. Couldn’t have wished for a better partner”.
