Emmerdale fans demand more Robron after throwback

Emmerdale viewers have made the same demand for fan-favourite couple Robron after a 12-year throwback was shared from ITV. Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle are arguably one of Emmerdale's most loved couples, and over the years they haven't had the easiest of rides in their relationship.

Their on-again-off-again relationship first kicked off in 2014 before their last split in 2019 when Robert was arrested for the death of Lee Posner. Robert confronted and attacked Lee after he had assaulted Victoria Sugden.

Fans Demand More Screen Time

On Instagram, ITV's official account looked back to 12 years ago when Robert and Aaron shared their first moment together as Robert admitted for the first time that he had "fell for" Aaron who wanted to back out of the scrap yard business. Fans took to the comments straight away, most making the same demand to see more of them on our screens, as well as hoping that we get to see more of their passionate relationship again.

One person wrote: "my absolute FAVES. I love robron and can't wait for them to have more storylines of their own" as another questioned: "Now when are the gonna be acting like they like each other on screen again".

Wedding on the Horizon

At a recent Emmerdale event for upcoming spoilers, producer Laura Shaw told the Mirror: "Robron's wedding! I mean, it's on the horizon, it's somewhere. We've not storylined anything just yet, but I mean, obviously, it's Robron, of course we're going to want to get them married at some point."

She went on to add the importance of Emmerdale Farm, as she said: "I really wanted to bring it back to its roots, you know, and that farming element. You know, it was such a unique, that's our kind of USP from the other soaps, I think, you know, we've got this amazing countryside, beautiful backdrop. So, to kind of have more of those farming elements, to kind of build that Dingle farm up at the Dingles', bring back Emmerdale Farm, you know, you've got the Tates over here, it's got that real kind of Yellowstone vibe to it."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX and YouTube from 7am.
