More than one EastEnders character faces dramatic scenes next week on the BBC soap. As lies and secrets threaten to be exposed, several residents are forced under the spotlight. Some truths do come out, while others could remain hidden, for now.
Mark and Lauren's confession
Mark Fowler Jr and Lauren Branning have a confession to make, leading to chaos with their families. The pair also face their feelings for each other. A suspicious Peter makes a discovery on Lauren’s phone, and Lauren admits she and Mark have been dealing stolen cars. Peter confides in Cindy about Lauren's car dealings. Later, Max clashes with Mark over Lauren and the stolen cars at the car lot, and calls him out at the pub.
Sheila's plan with Gray
Gray Atkins' plan with his gran Sheila could finally come to light. Chelsea lets Sheila spend time alone with Jordan. Testing Jordan’s ability to keep a secret, Sheila takes him out and makes him promise not to say anything. After visiting Denise, Chelsea grows suspicious about Sheila after a comment from Jordan.
Joel's attack investigation
Joel questions his attack, while Barney makes a confession to Zack about Nugget. Ross is keen to go to the police after a discovery thanks to Kat and Alfie. Jack asks Craig for a favour to protect Amy and Ricky, while Craig has an update on the case for Vicki and Ross. Amy tries to get information from Craig but gets nowhere.
Other storylines
Cindy features in scenes with Kim, Howie and Zack. Elsewhere, Jean faces trouble with her rent, and Priya is questioned by Ravi about her mystery man. Patrick returns and visits Denise in hospital in an emotional reunion amid her cancer battle.
