Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend Katie Alexander has reportedly moved out of their shared flat, although the couple remain together. The GB News presenter, 66, has had a tough year after suffering a stroke in April and remaining in hospital as he recovers ever since.

Health struggles and career hiatus

After his health troubles took hold in spring, he took a step back from his on-air duties as breakfast show co-host, a role he has had since 2022. GB News also wished the media personality a speedy recovery and requested privacy while he underwent treatment.

Since then, the TV star has remained out of the spotlight. He has seldom posted to social media and, according to the Daily Mail, the bosses at GB News have rarely heard from him, casting doubt over his future at the broadcaster.

Katie's move and relationship status

Now, it seems as though the relationship has also taken a toll, with his longtime partner Katie moving out. The couple started dating shortly after Eamonn and his wife of 14 years, Ruth Langsford, announced their divorce in May 2024.

Since their shock separation, he has been renting a three-bedroom Surrey flat that his 45-year-old girlfriend has been splitting her time between alongside her West Yorkshire home. But sources for The Sun on Sunday have revealed she has moved her belongings out of the £1.3million home in 'an incredibly sad situation'.

The insider continued: 'Katie is still very much together with Eamonn and in love, but she's moved out of the flat. It's an incredibly sad situation — she loved it there, and the time they spent together making it home. Katie has been Eamonn's rock and lifeline since he fell ill. She's willing him to get back to full fitness and get their lives back on track.'

Family support and future prospects

Eamonn last posted on his Instagram a few months ago with a snap of his granddaughters holding up a homemade 'get well soon' sign. In the caption he wrote: 'Thank you for all of your many many good wishes, they give me strength'.

Meanwhile, his eldest son Declan is in charge of his affairs. Discussing his prospects of returning to work, a source for the Daily Mail claimed: 'Everyone has started to accept Eamonn won't be coming back to do the same job as he did before. They have barely heard from him in months, and he isn't on social media anymore. Declan has been really conscious not to cause his dad any more stress.'

Metro has reached out to Eamonn Holmes' representatives for comment.
