Paramount Plus has confirmed that Dutton Ranch will return for a second season, following the spin-off's record-shattering debut in May. The announcement comes with only two episodes remaining in the first season, which concludes on Friday, July 3.
Record-Breaking Premiere
The nine-episode Western drama launched in May and quickly captivated audiences, drawing nearly 13 million viewers during its opening week. According to Paramount Plus, the premiere was the most successful Original Series debut in the platform's history, with 2.9 million total viewers across its two-episode launch, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.
Based on Nielsen data, Dutton Ranch ranked as the top streaming series by average viewership for the week commencing May 11, when it first aired.

Plot and Cast
The first season of Dutton Ranch centers on Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they struggle to forge a future together far from the ghosts of Montana. Their relocation to Texas sees them collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.
The cast also includes Finn Little as Carter and Annette Bening as Beulah Jackson.
Season Finale and Future
Only two episodes remain before the debut season concludes. The penultimate episode airs this Friday, June 26, followed by the series finale on Friday, July 3. The renewal for a second season ensures that Beth and Rip's journey will continue, though details about the upcoming season's plot have not yet been revealed.
