Princess Diana's Nieces Support Prince William at Tusk Awards
Diana's Nieces Back William at Conservation Awards

In a striking display of family unity, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, the 33-year-old twin nieces of the late Princess Diana, stepped out this week to support their cousin, the Prince of Wales, at a prestigious London event.

A Night for Conservation

The sisters made a coordinated arrival at the 2025 Tusk Conservation Awards, held at the luxurious Savoy Hotel on Wednesday. They chose matching elegant black dresses by the London-based luxury designer Safiyaa, both featuring delicately embellished necklines.

Prince William was present in his capacity as a key supporter of the charity, presenting several awards, including the eponymous Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa. He was not short on family support, as his cousin Zara Tindall also attended the glitzy event, opting for a £530 Narcissa mini dress and accompanied by her husband, Mike Tindall.

A Week of Twinning Fashion

The Tusk Awards marked the twins' third public appearance with co-ordinated outfits in just a matter of days, cementing their status as fashion icons who master the art of twinning.

Over the preceding weekend, Amelia and Eliza had been in Qatar for a series of high-profile events. On November 22, they graced the red carpet at the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards at the National Museum of Qatar. For this occasion, they wore complementary, intricately embellished gowns by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad. Amelia selected a stunning dusty pink creation, while Eliza shone in a teal number, both accessorised with magnificent Chopard diamonds.

The very next day, November 23, saw them back on the red carpet at the Franca Fund Gala, held at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. Once again, their looks were in perfect sync; this time, they dazzled in metallic gowns by celebrated Indian designer Manish Malhotra, again adorned with jewellery from Chopard.

The Bond Behind the Style

In an interview with W Magazine back in June, the sisters opened up about their natural inclination towards matching outfits. Amelia explained that their synchronised style is a reflection of their incredibly similar tastes.

'It comes quite naturally to us since our style and taste are so incredibly similar,' she told the publication. 'In fact, we usually end up choosing the exact same looks.'

She also shed light on the profound comfort and empowerment they draw from each other, especially during high-profile public moments. 'We’re quite shy people naturally, and having each other for such big moments like red carpets or campaigns... it’s so comforting,' Amelia shared. 'It’s a safety net and empowering. We encourage each other.'

The event was also attended by a host of other notable figures, including Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and comedian John Cleese, who were seen rubbing shoulders with the Prince of Wales.
