David Beckham has appeared to extend an olive branch to his eldest son Brooklyn by 'liking' a video of him and Nicola Peltz at Paris Fashion Week. The football legend's Instagram activity was spotted by fans, who noted the like on a clip posted by celebrity photographer Yehiel Chekroune.
The video was taken at the Messika showcase during Paris Fashion Week, where Brooklyn and Nicola sat front row. In the clip, Nicola praised the designers for their 'amazing' work, calling the event 'unbelievable' and 'beautiful', while the couple matched in all-black outfits.
Fans react to the like
One commenter, @dodon.md, wrote hopefully: 'David liked this. He loves his kids. Everything's going to be okay.' This isn't the first time David has tried to reach out virtually - in March, he and Victoria both shared birthday wishes for Brooklyn's 27th, with David using his childhood nickname 'Bust'.
However, neither parent tagged Brooklyn, as it's believed they have both been blocked by him. Brother Cruz Beckham confirmed the block last December, writing: 'They woke up blocked … as did I.' He added: 'My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let's get the facts right.'
Brooklyn's stance remains firm
Brooklyn has previously stated: 'I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.' He has remained in the US and is close with his billionaire in-laws, renewing his vows with Nicola last August without his relatives present.
Victoria addressed the feud in April, telling the Wall Street Journal: 'I think that we've always – we love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be.' A source recently confirmed Brooklyn had no plans to attend Victoria's show in Paris this week, instead attending the Balenciaga show with Nicola. Reps for Brooklyn, David, and Victoria Beckham have been contacted for comment.
