Rangers travel to Dens Park to face Dundee on Saturday, October 17, with kick-off at 8pm, knowing a win would put them top of the Scottish Premiership table at least overnight.
The theory that a lack of European football will benefit Rangers in their title quest will be put to the test this weekend. After a week clear of any continental distractions, however much they would prefer to have them, Derek McInnes's squad head to the City of Discovery knowing three points against Dundee will put them top of the table overnight at least.
Title race implications
With one of Celtic or Hearts guaranteed to drop points when they meet at Parkhead on Sunday, it's vital that the Light Blues do their bit to take advantage the night before.
Steven Pressley has made an impressive start with the Dark Blues, although their injury luck has been nothing but bad with a number of key players being sidelined long term already this season.
