Coronation Street fans have voiced concerns that Ross Wilkes may set his sights on Tyrone Dobbs' teenage daughter, Ruby, following his disturbing actions towards Cassie Plummer and the growing tension with Fiz.
Ross's dark history revealed
Viewers recently learned that Ross, played by Ian Burfield, had paid Tyrone's mum Cassie (Claire Sweeney) for sex when she was just 15, resulting in Tyrone's birth. Cassie exposed the truth to her family, but they chose to continue welcoming Ross. He then threatened to kill Cassie if she interfered in his life again, all while maintaining a charming facade in front of his family and girlfriend Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
This week, Cassie was driven away from the cobbles by Ross, who later returned with a family photo that Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) had given her. Fiz grew suspicious after Ross lied about seeing Cassie on the day she left.
Fiz confronts Ross
In Thursday's episode, now on ITVX, Fiz pressed Ross about Cassie's whereabouts. She asked, "Actually, I've been meaning to ask you, Ross... Where was it you said you dropped Cassie?" Ross replied, "Piccadilly," but when Fiz enquired, "Station or Gardens? Coach or train?" she noted, "I'm just thinking it's weird that we haven't heard anything from her." Ross responded, "Radio silence. From what I can make out, that's her all over," but Fiz remained unconvinced.
Fans predict Ruby is next
Now, Corrie fans are sharing fears that Ross might target Ruby (Billie Naylor), Tyrone and Fiz's daughter. One fan wrote on a Facebook page, "I think it'll be Ruby that he goes after." Another added, "Yes definitely see it taking a dark turn. Ruby isn't safe either. I think Fiz is onto him but maybe he targets her as well." A third said, "I think it will be Ruby," while another shared, "Ruby or Hope are not safe. I think he may cause trouble between Tyrone and Fiz to split them up as he will find out Fiz is on to him." A fifth viewer echoed, "Ruby is the one I think he will prey on. He's awful. Tyrone needs to wake up and see what's going on."
