Prince William has shared a funny moment with his daughter, Princess Charlotte, revealing that the young royal has quite a sense of humour. During an engagement in the West Midlands, William was heard joking in a video shared by MailOnline, explaining how Charlotte responds when anyone asks her age. "If you ask her, she says she's 16," he said.
He added that when she was just six years old she would reply with her age, adding a cheeky reply of "I'll do whatever I want." He joked, "They grow up very fast." The princess is now 11 years old, but the funny joke is no doubt an indicator of her funny personality.
Family's Love for Celebrity Traitors
The prince appeared on Graham Norton's chat show on Friday, providing another rare update on his children. He said that his two youngest children, Charlotte and Prince Louis, and the rest of his family are huge fans of a popular BBC show.
William, 44, surprised the audience by revealing that his family are loving the current series of Celebrity Traitors. He told the host: "I love it, the family love it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It's really good telly."
Princess Charlotte's Place in the Royal Family
Princess Charlotte is the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Catherine. The young princess is often seen out with her parents on various royal engagements. She's often accompanied her mum to Wimbledon and she's even been spotted at the Commonwealth Games.
The princess is third in line to the throne and could one day be the holder of a very famous royal title. While it will likely be some years off, three of King Charles's grandchildren are expected to hold many different titles in their lifetimes, some of which carry significant historical importance. It is likely that Prince George and Prince Louis will eventually take on important senior royal titles, and their sister is also expected to follow suit.
A Historic Title on the Horizon
Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2, 2015, and lives with her family at Forest Lodge on the Windsor Estate. The Princess's official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Wales, and she sits third in line to the throne.
When King Charles succeeded in 2022, Prince William went from being the Duke of Cambridge to being the Prince of Wales, and, as a result, his three young children's last names changed from Cambridge to Wales. But looking even further ahead, Princess Charlotte could be in line to inherit a historic title when Prince William becomes king.
The Princess Royal is typically the eldest daughter of the monarch, and it works in much the same way as the Prince of Wales title for both senior and high-ranking members of the Royal Family. There have only been seven Princess Royals in the history of the British Royal Family, and the title is not guaranteed.
