Royal fans have spotted Princess Charlotte acting just like her mother, Princess Catherine. The mother and daughter attended the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow along with Prince William, Prince George and Prince Louis.
Princess Charlotte, 11, arrived at The Hydro on August 1, where the family met with athletes from England and Scotland. Charlotte wore her hair down for the day, and she repeatedly fixed it as the wind swept pieces out of place — something people had also spotted her mother doing.
A Shared Habit
Hello! Magazine reports that the young princess mirrored her mother, who kept smoothing her hair and quickly tucking flyaways. On a video call in February 2021, Princess Catherine was seen playing with her ponytail as she spoke to teaching staff.
A royal fan on TikTok, royalfancams, spotted Charlotte doing the same thing, reports Hello! Magazine. In September 2019, Princess Charlotte was spotted nervously twisting her ponytail on her first day of school at Thomas's Battersea.
Matching Outfits
Not only do Charlotte and her mum share similar mannerisms, but they also wore subtly matching outfits at the Glasgow event. Both Catherine and Charlotte dressed in black and white stripes.
Charlotte wore a collared Guess polka-dot dress with tiers of stripes spaced across the skirt. Catherine wore a striped sweater vest by the New York label La Ligne, as identified by the Royal Fashion Police on Instagram, paired with a pleated midi skirt.
A Fun Childhood
Princess Charlotte is enjoying a “fun” childhood like the one her mother, Princess Catherine, enjoyed, body language expert Judi James has said. In a video posted by Kensington Palace to mark Charlotte’s 11th birthday, which was in May, the young royal was seen enjoying a break in Cornwall.
The video showed Charlotte cuddling the family dogs, enjoying a boat ride, writing in the sand and bowling a cricket ball. Princess Charlotte is the middle child of the family, and she is the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Catherine.
