Cate Blanchett has described Prince William as an "extraordinary leader" in a new interview, praising his hands-on approach to the Earthshot Prize, which he founded to tackle climate change.

Blanchett's praise for William

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar UK, the Oscar-winning actress, who serves on the Earthshot Prize Council with William, said: "(He's been) an extraordinary leader, very hands-on in a consistent and practically engaged way." She added that William "has inherited that interest (from the King). He's grown up with it."

Blanchett, known for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in the 1998 film 'Elizabeth', has worked closely with William since joining the council. The pair made a joint engagement last year, visiting the Norwich headquarters of sustainable dye company Colorifix.
