Victoria and Sir David Beckham have shared a gushing relationship update as they told fans they were 'back where it all began' for them almost three decades ago. The couple, known as Posh and Becks, started dating in 1997 after meeting at a charity football match, were engaged the following year, and married in 1999. They share four children – sons Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, as well as daughter Harper, 15.
Anniversary celebrations
Back in July, Manchester United and England footballing legend Sir David called his family his 'proudest achievement' in a post celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria. The 51-year-old shared a series of photos with Lady Beckham from over the years, including from their wedding day and his 50th birthday celebrations last year, and said: "29 years together, 27 years married & you have given me everything I could ever wish for…our proudest achievement will always be our family. I love you & Happy Anniversary @victoriabeckham."
Commenting on the post, Victoria, 52, wrote: "Happy anniversary. I love you so much." She also shared a post of her own, writing alongside a recent photo showing her husband smiling while she kissed his cheek: "After 27 years of marriage, four amazing children and countless matching outfits, you’re still my *everything*. Happy anniversary!! I love you so much @davidbeckham."
Return to Portofino
It was then on Sunday (August 16) that Victoria told her millions of social media followers that she and David had headed back to where it actually began for the couple, as they posed for photos in Portofino, the exclusive, picturesque fishing village on the Italian Riviera in Liguria, Italy. Captioning the loved-up images, the fashion designer wrote: "Back in Portofino where we began [heart emoji] in 1997 x I love you @davidbeckham."
David also shared his own post, featuring one of the same snaps of the couple, and told his own following: "29 years ago we came to Portofino to this hotel before anyone knew we were dating and here we are back again @victoriabeckham Portofino 97."
Family trip
David and Victoria have also been joined by their daughter Harper on the trip, with the group being snapped enjoying ice creams at a local café, surrounded by designer shopping bags. Son Romeo and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25, are also said to have stopped by to join them, reports The Sun.
