Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright stated the force is investigating allegations that a woman was trafficked to the UK by Jeffrey Epstein to have a sexual encounter with Mountbatten-Windsor, and claims of sharing sensitive information. Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing.
