Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) faced a difficult 2025 in Coronation Street, losing her twin brother Aadi (Adam Hussain) to a new life in India and struggling with her mental health during paramedic training. A special episode highlighted her panic attacks, triggered by a death, an injured patient, and a racist attack. Her anxiety worsened, leading to a suicide attempt, after which she returned to her father Dev Alahan's (Jimmi Harkishin) care. With help from Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), she entered a mental health unit and has since found peace.
Asha reconnects with Sienna
Now, Asha is dipping back into dating and has agreed to a night out with her former mentor, Sienna Millburn (Charlotte Tyree). The date goes well until Sienna's mood shifts after a phone call and she leaves, apologising later with an excuse about taking her nan to bingo. Later, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) accuses Sienna of stealing her wage packet, sparking a bitter argument where Sienna calls Nina a 'bitter ex'.
Debbie meets Sadie
Next week, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) encounters a woman named Sadie (Elizabeth Rider) searching desperately for her daughter. Debbie offers help, but a confused Sadie snaps. Sienna later finds Sadie on the street and reveals Sadie is her mother, suffering from dementia. Asha offers to help when Sadie does not recognise Sienna, but is dismissed, leaving her hurt. Debbie witnesses the scene, giving her a glimpse into her own future with her husband Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan).
Asha and Sienna take Sadie to a nursing home to explore care options. While Asha pledges support, it is clear Sienna has been dealing with her mother's illness for some time. Will she accept Asha's help?
