Traitors' Fiona Banished After Dramatic Betrayal: Swansea Star Thanks Fans
Traitors' Fiona Banished After Betraying Fellow Traitor

Contestant Fiona from the hit BBC reality series The Traitors has expressed heartfelt thanks to viewers following her dramatic exit, which was triggered by her explosive betrayal of a fellow conspirator.

A Sudden Turn at the Roundtable

In a shocking twist during Friday night's episode (10 January 2026), Fiona's game unravelled after she directly accused her fellow traitor, Rachel, of being a liar. This confrontation, which ended their secret alliance, immediately made Fiona a prime suspect in the eyes of the faithful contestants.

Her attempt to oust Rachel backfired spectacularly, leading to her banishment at the iconic roundtable. Fiona became the second traitor to be caught and removed by the faithfuls this series. Reflecting on her departure in her exit interview, Fiona took full responsibility, stating she was the "master" of her own "downfall".

Gratitude from Swansea Bay

On Saturday, the day after her televised exit, Fiona took to Instagram to share a video message with her supporters. Filmed at Swansea Bay, she said: "A big hello from me at Swansea Bay. I just wanted to touch base with you all to say a massive, massive thank you for all your help, all your love and all your support."

She added, "It has meant a lot to me. Thank you so much. Love to everybody. Cheerio." Prior to her dramatic betrayal, Fiona had managed to fly under the radar for much of the game, aided by a secret twist that concealed her identity as a traitor from both other players and the audience.

Aftermath and the Game Continues

The fallout from the intense episode saw Rachel, the traitor Fiona turned on, pay tribute to her former ally on social media. Rachel hailed Fiona as an "absolute legend" and shared an AI-generated image depicting Fiona as Little Red Riding Hood with herself as the wolf.

In her caption, Rachel wrote: "Fiona you absolute legend. Talk about making a game so much fun. A little minx of a Secret Traitor and a lady who reminded us all that this is a game. Roll on a cwtch without a kill."

Following the banishment, the game's remaining traitors are Rachel and Stephen. Their latest victim was sweet shop assistant Reece, who became the fourth murder victim of the series.

The Traitors continues on BBC One and iPlayer on 14 January at 8pm.
