Traitors fans fear Hannah Fry's screen time spells early exit

Fans of Celebrity Traitors are concerned that mathematician Hannah Fry is receiving too much screen time, leading them to fear she may be eliminated early from the BBC show.

The second series of Celebrity Traitors returned earlier this month, featuring stars such as Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, and others, all competing in Claudia Winkleman's game. Spoilers reveal that James Acaster, Maya Jama, and Richard E. Grant are among those in the Traitors' turret.

Fans predict Hannah Fry's fate

Viewers have taken to social media to express their worries about Fry's visibility. On Reddit, user TestingMonkey6 wrote: 'The amount of screen time Hannah has had scares me. I really like Hannah Fry and would like to see her last in the game, but I think the amount of screen time in episode 2 alone signals that she is going home. I even think the strategic move would be to kill Jerry; then Hannah will naturally be voted off.'

Another user, 7FOOT7, agreed: 'Hannah won't last long. She's playing the game like it's a puzzle to solve and is currently hyper-visible with a target on her back after the “too obvious” comments. So what if the traitors do the obvious and eject her? Doesn't make it any easier for the celebrities to uncover a Traitor.'

Embarrassed_Tax5556 added: 'I have been worried about that too. Early on, you can usually tell who will go out soon by the fact that you see quite a bit of them, because production will give them a bit of exposure even if they are not in the game for long. Would probably not go down well to let someone leave the game with a total of two minutes of screen time.'

Reactions on X

The theory has also spread to X, where @JackMcGillivray joked: 'Just trying to go about my day but how can I knowing that The Traitors are going to murder Hannah Fry on Thursday?'

@Aedicule commented: 'Hannah Fry has just sealed her fate around the table & will be murdered next. She's shown she is far too canny & perceptive to be left by susceptible traitors, especially as there are only two for selection. She should have dampened her abilities early on to avoid being a threat.'

It is worth noting that predicting how The Traitors will play out is difficult, as evidenced by Alan Carr winning last year. The Celebrity Traitors returns on BBC One this Thursday at 8pm.
