Sir Tom Jones axed from The Voice UK after 13 years

Sir Tom Jones has reportedly been dropped as a full-time coach on The Voice UK after more than a decade on the ITV show. The 86-year-old music legend has appeared on the programme since it first launched in 2012, but for the next series of filming he will not have his own team or chair.

ITV bosses are said to want a major shake-up of the coaching line-up, with plans for the Welsh singer to instead feature in a 'different capacity'. A source told The Sun: 'ITV absolutely love Sir Tom and they're working very hard behind the scenes to make this work.'

Major refresh planned

Another source added: 'Everyone loves Sir Tom but there was a feeling that the upcoming series needed a major refresh.' Previously, it was rumoured that rapper Aitch could replace the outgoing Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, both of whom are leaving.
