Celebrity Traitors fans in stitches as Sharon Rooney makes murder discovery before error
Sharon Rooney's Traitors discovery leaves fans in stitches

Sharon Rooney left Celebrity Traitors viewers amused after she figured out how Ross Kemp was murdered in plain sight, only to share her theory with one of the traitors.

The EastEnders star was the latest victim of traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny on the BBC reality gameshow. The trio had been tasked with killing in plain sight by spraying perfume from a peacock bottle and encouraging a faithful to yawn and inhale it, as seen in the October 16 episode.

Discovery and Error

The results were revealed in the October 22 episode, starting week four. Viewers saw Ross yawn before James sealed his fate with the line: "Sorry, am I boring you?" After learning his fate, Ross said: "Oh no, it had to happen at some point." He had been particularly wary of being murdered in plain sight, noting: "I was really sensitive to people coming close to me. Could have been a cheers. Could have been anything."

Ross also reflected: "There's a great line from Shakespeare, I think it's Polonius's advice to his son: 'to thine own self be true'. I have been true to myself and I have been true to the Faithfuls." He added: "Well played traitors, but you're always going to be traitors, and I know where you live."

Fan Reactions

Back at the castle, Sharon deduced the perfume bottle's role in Ross's murder but shared her theory with James. He replied: "That's what I said on day one," later admitting in his confessional: "That's down to me," while claiming he would be "such a good Faithful."

Fans reacted with amusement and frustration. @Dee_Cee95x said: "Sharon has just made the best discovery I've ever seen on the traitors, unbelievable how she worked that out." @BAB00SHKA_1 commented: "Sharon randomly figuring out the murder in plain sight after 6 episodes of doing nothing." @madgekin wrote: "sherlock sharon rooney realising it was the perfume." @Sealykins posted: "'Poundland Poirot is on the case'. Sharon you're funny af."

However, @xxncisaddictxx noted: "Sharon probably should have kept that to herself until the roundtable though she went straight to a traitor." @MwepuMagic echoed: "Sharon Rooney putting it ALL together and then going STRAIGHT TO TELL JAMES." @__Anastazia__ added: "Not Sharon clocking the perfume and telling James of all people."
