Romesh Ranganathan tipped as next Celebrity Traitors victim

Romesh Ranganathan has been dealt a devastating blow ahead of the latest episode of The Celebrity Traitors, which airs tonight on BBC One and iPlayer at 8pm. The comedian and presenter is the 4/7 favourite to be the next victim, according to latest odds from Action Network.

The most recent episode ended on a cliffhanger, with the remaining Traitors - Love Island host Maya Jama, comedian James Acaster and mathematician Professor Hannah Fry - inviting the celebrities to play a deadly game of hide and seek in the woods at night.

Four Faithfuls chosen for the deadly game

Host Claudia Winkleman told the contestants they had to pick four potential victims, who would hide in the woods while the Traitors tracked one down and murdered them face to face. The group could have picked one of themselves, but instead chose four Faithfuls: Romesh Ranganathan, his regular collaborator Rob Beckett, singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock and actor Ross Kemp.

The chosen group were allowed one key to secure their hiding place. After a back and forth, the key was given to Little Mix star Leigh-Anne, meaning she is protected during the hide and seek.

Odds and predictions

Romesh is the 4/7 favourite to be picked for murder, followed by Rob at 7/3. A spokesperson for Action Network said: “Romesh Ranganathan is the favourite to become the next victim of the Traitors at odds of 4/7, with the traitors perceiving him as one of the leading faithful voices around the round table, making him a smart one to remove.”

They added: "Rob Beckett follows at odds of 7/3 to get murdered, seen as a random choice that could send the faithful spiralling. Ross Kemp is considered less likely to get murdered, with the Traitors counting on the suspicion already following him to keep building. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, whose late-night make-up touch-up may still be fresh in people’s minds, is the least likely to get murdered - though if the traitors do choose her, there will be no murder, as she was handed the key and is therefore protected during the hide and seek."

Banishment and winner odds

Hannah Fry is the "overwhelming favourite" to be banished at the next Round Table, at 3/7 to receive the most votes. James Blunt is just behind at 3/1, with Jerry Hall at 17/3.

Welsh actor Michael Sheen has seen his odds shortened for who is most likely to be the overall winner. However, with three Traitors still in the game, James Acaster and Maya Jama are also in the top three favourites to win, with little suspicion raised about them.
