Paloma Faith joins Sir Tom for The Voice UK battles

The Voice UK battle rounds begin on Saturday, October 10, with Paloma Faith returning to support Sir Tom Jones as a guest mentor.

The ITV singing competition continues tonight as coaches Sir Tom, will.i.am, Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher and Kelly Rowland put their teams to the test with help from special guest mentors.

Singer-songwriter Paloma Faith previously served as a main coach on the show in 2016. She will advise Sir Tom on which team members will make it to the end of the competition.

Paloma's return and past departure

According to reports, Paloma left the programme because she was undergoing her first course of IVF treatment, which made her feel emotionally unstable, over-sensitive and fragile while filming. She announced she was expecting her first child shortly after the series wrapped.

The pop star later admitted she joined the show mainly to put money in the bank ahead of trying to start a family. She has previously discussed struggling with online criticism and negative public reaction during her time on the panel.

Guest mentors and team line-ups

Girls Aloud icon and long-time collaborator Cheryl will assist will.i.am ahead of officially joining The Voice UK as a main coach next year. The Voice Australia coach and current Strictly Come Dancing contestant Delta Goodrem will help Kelly after spending eight seasons on the Australian edition of the programme.

Danny and Tom will be joined by their McFly band members Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd as they try to win The Voice UK two consecutive years in a row following their success with AVA in 2024.

Last Saturday (October 3), the final round of the blind auditions aired and the coaches finalised their teams, which consist of eight acts each.

Team will.i.am is made up of Diogo Ferreira, Sonna Rele, BMG, Triple Threat, Teodora Sava, Naná Aldrin-Quaye, Ardú and Bella Popera.

Team Kelly has Monique Nicholson-Porter, Ray Gelato, Lascel Wood, Aaren James, Cris Quammie, Samantha Udeke, Turah Sadiq and Jessica Beth.

Cate McHugh, Vadé Amãlia Estradas, Harry Linacre, Eric & Jensen, Dakari Love, Molly J and Robbie McMinn represent Team Sir Tom, while Ellie Harney, Ross McGuire, Ciiara Nyx, Finlay McKillop, Jack Algar, Frank Raven, Regan Preece and Adam Tucker have joined Team Tom and Danny.

The coaches and their advisors will now work with the acts to help them secure their place in the competition, but not every act can progress.

The Voice UK returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday, October 10 at 8.35pm.
