Maya Jama's Traitor Game Plan 'Revealed' as Fans Spot 'Silly Mistake'
Maya Jama's Traitor Game Plan 'Revealed' as Fans Spot Mistake

Maya Jama and James Acaster recruited King Kenny as a new Traitor on Celebrity Traitors, but some viewers believe the pair made a significant error by not choosing another contestant instead.

The decision came after Hannah Fry was banished in the latest episode, leaving Maya and James as the only remaining Traitors. Their earlier recruitment of Hannah had proved unsuccessful, as she was voted out after a very short time in the role.

Fans Question the Recruitment Choice

At the end of the episode, the pair recruited King Kenny, but fans were quick to question the move. One viewer commented: "Should have gone for Joe Lycett and fed the faithfuls another traitor." Another added: "This way you can get another traitor and convince everyone to banish a faithful, win-win."

A third fan noted: "That's the point. All eyes on Joe and he gets banished, everyone is happy that we got another traitor." A fourth wrote: "Banish Joe and he's a faithful and everyone including you is a suspect. Banish Joe and he's a traitor and suddenly people are focusing on who was Joe close with, celebrating they got a traitor. Much less heat on you."

Joanne's Suspicious Slip-Up

Some fans also thought Joanne would have been a better recruit, especially after she raised suspicion at the roundtable. When Ross Kemp said he thought he was going home, Joanne responded: "It was horrible...it was...I wasn't there I mean but I was watching," despite not being present.

This comment has led others in the group to suspect she might be a Traitor. She had also defended both Richard E Grant and Hannah Fry, who were both Traitors, adding to the suspicion around her.

Maya is clearly taking the lead in the turret, telling James she needs him to be more treacherous. The decision to recruit Kenny rather than Joe or Joanne may now have consequences for the remaining Traitors.
