MAFS UK's Julia-Ruth Sells £30 'Pep Talks' After Show Drama
MAFS UK star Julia-Ruth sells £30 pep talks post-show

Julia-Ruth Smith, the self-professed 'villain' from the tenth season of Married at First Sight UK, is now monetising her newfound notoriety by offering personal video messages to fans for a fee.

From Reality TV Drama to Digital Enterprise

The E4 reality star, who became a central figure in the series' most explosive moments, has set up a profile on the celebrity video platform Cameo. Here, she is offering personalised pep talks, advice, and birthday shout-outs for £30.50 per video.

Her bio on the platform directly references her time on the hit show, stating: "Hey guys! It’s your girl, Julia-Ruth from Married At First Sight UK. Here for that one on one confidence and empowerment booster, to be your wing girl or talk all things sensuality and confidence x."

A Season of Scandals and Comebacks

Julia-Ruth's journey on the programme was anything but quiet. After initially voting to leave the experiment with her husband, Divarni Balogun, she made a sensational return during the girls' reunion. She dropped the bombshell revelation that she had holidayed and been intimate with co-star Joe Wood after leaving the show.

She further shocked viewers and fellow contestants by disclosing she was also pursuing another groom from the experiment, Steven Springett. This led to a significant backlash on social media and from her peers, prompting her to issue a lengthy statement on Instagram defending her actions as those of a woman simply trying to find love.

Cashing In on Controversy

While Julia-Ruth's Cameo price point is set at £30.50, it appears she is charging a premium compared to some of her co-stars. For instance, fellow series star Maeve Mathieson charges £19 per video, while Keye-Luke asks for £23.

The account was reportedly created in September 2023, a timeframe that aligns with her appearance on another dating show, Are You The One?, which she ultimately won. However, her current marketing strategy leans heavily on her recent MAFS UK fame to attract customers.

As the tenth series concludes with its final vows on November 12, followed by a two-part reunion special airing on Thursday and Friday night at 9pm on E4, Julia-Ruth is ensuring her presence extends far beyond the television screen.
