The Love Is Blind UK reunion episode for season 3 landed on Netflix on August 30, giving fans the full picture of what happened after the experiment. Among the contestants, four couples confirmed they are still together: Ciara and Ajay, Sophie and Taylor, Francesca and Joseph, and Faye and Jack. Other pairs, including Cuba and Ryan and Yasmin and Jordan, revealed they have gone their separate ways.
Ciara and Ajay: happily married
Despite being the most controversial contestant of the series due to her high standards and desire for a wealthy partner, Ciara and Ajay are very much happily married. Ciara said at the reunion: “Everyday I feel so safe with him, he just makes me feel so secure.” Ajay said about his wife: “One of the most beautiful things I saw in my wife is just how much she felt at ease.”
He added: “I just saw her personality really shine through and she's made my life so easy.” He also said: “She’s been the most incredible wife I could ever ask for and that's a testament entirely to Ciara.” The couple are now planning a “big fat Indian wedding”.
Cuba and Ryan: not together
Cuba and Ryan broke up on the show and decided not to get married ahead of their wedding day. A year on, Cuba told Ryan at the reunion: “The way it ended wasn't nice for me […] you completely blindsided me.” She continued: “Everything I did was for you […] and you never made me feel validated.” Cuba concluded: “I’ve never felt more alone in my life, and I’ve been cheated on”.
Ryan admitted that the decision to leave Cuba had been a “heavy one” and hailed her as an “amazing woman”. Cuba hit back: “You’re not ready for a relationship at all, I actually hope some day you let yourself open up and you let yourself be loved”.
Sophie and Taylor: still going strong
Sophie and Taylor connected quickly in the pods due to similar dating histories after coming out of respective seven-year romances, and they made it down the aisle. They are still very much loved up, with Taylor telling Sophie, “She made me feel vulnerable.” He added: “To have someone who gave me that safe space, I’ve never had that before”.
Sophie’s father, who had previously branded their wedding on the show “farcical”, sent a sweet message: “I mean this, you have put the biggest smile on my daughters face and that is all I could wish for.”
Francesca and Joseph: planning to marry again
Francesca and Joseph almost didn’t make it to the altar after he was waiting for her parents’ approval, which they got at the last moment. Since then, the couple has had some “ups and downs” but remains committed to each other. Francesca explained: “He has exceeded all my expectations of what I wanted in a partner.” She added: "He's got the emotional intelligence that every girl dreams of, and I lucked out when I got him”.
Francesca’s mother revealed that the couple was planning to get married in a Catholic ceremony and a traditional Nigerian wedding. She added: "Joseph is a very very impressive young man, he puts her first every day and we love him, he’s our son”.
Chevanique: single and open to love
Chevanique, who formed a connection with Joseph in the pods, also attended the reunion and opened up about the love triangle. She explained: “When you think that this person is for you, you're obviously going to want to fight for that in a way”.
Despite Joseph ultimately choosing someone else, Chevanique said: “Ultimately I think it worked out perfectly, I think they are a great match and I can’t see him with anyone else besides Francesca.” She added: “Now I’m so open to finding love and meeting my person”.
Yasmin and Jordan: friends, not lovers
Yasmin and Jordan aren’t together, but the former couple are good friends. They revealed they met up once after the experiment and realised they “worked better off as friends”. Jordan said: “She’s like my best friend, we talk pretty much every day”. Yasmin also spoke about her vitiligo and hailed social media for the “heartwarming” and “lovely response” to her skin condition.
Faye and Jack: together and travelling
Faye and Jack were still very much together and happy after the experiment, spending their time globetrotting from the Maldives to Thailand. Jack explained that the travelling gave them time to “learn what each other needs”. They are now living with Faye’s family in Guernsey and are hoping to move to London at some point and have children.
Faye’s mum joked about the pair: “They’re like two kids together”. She added: “I am now chief cook, I do all their laundry, it's like having kiddys back at school.” Love Is Blind UK season 3 is streaming on Netflix now.
