King Kenny has made his debut on The Celebrity Traitors. The 29-year-old YouTube star is part of the lineup of Claudia Winkleman's BBC game show and can currently be seen in the famous Scottish castle alongside the likes of Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama.
Kenny is a Faithful and, alongside co-stars such as singer James Blunt, model Jerry Hall and comedian Joe Lycett, will be seen trying to decipher who the Traitors are amongst them in the coming weeks. Also in the castle are Coronation Street legend Julie Hesmondhalgh, EastEnders icon Ross Kemp, as well as comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett, and Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Who is King Kenny?
Kenny, whose real name is Kenny Oghenovo Ojuederie, has been active in the media for more than a decade and currently boasts more than 4.3 million followers across various platforms. He was born in Hertfordshire in 1997 and has several siblings and half-siblings, one of whom is Daley Perales who appeared on Big Brother in 2013.
Kenny trained in boxing before switching things up and undertaking a media studies degree at Brunel University of London. He opened his YouTube account in 2013 before the whole industry had really found its feet, building a huge following carrying out various pranks on the video sharing website.
Boxing career
Away from his successful career on social media, King Kenny is also a boxer. He began that side of things in 2022 where he faced American YouTuber FaZe Temperrr at Wembley Arena. In the end, his opponent emerged victorious from the match, but the following year, he defeated fellow YouTube star My Mate Nate at the same venue.
Having also competed in several professional matches, Kenny was forced to announce his retirement from the sport after suffering a broken rib in May this year. At the time, he said: "I'm retired. He broke my rib when he sparred, right here and he put me into retirement and I'll never fight again. The move I taught him, he done it to me but in my rib and broke it in two places. He used my trick against me and it works, man!"
Love life and Celebrity Traitors
King Kenny is notoriously guarded about his private life and has never confirmed his relationship status publicly. Just before heading to the castle, he explained: "I'm a bad liar, but I'm a bad liar to friends and family. I think if it's strangers, it will be easier. If someone knows you well, they'll notice subtle things that others don't."
