ITV replaces Fletcher's Family Farm with Clarkson quiz tonight

ITV has temporarily replaced Fletcher's Family Farm with a new series of Jeremy Clarkson's Millionaire Hot Seat, which airs tonight (Monday, August 31) from 7.30pm to 8pm. Classic episodes of Kelvin and Liz Fletcher's farming show have been broadcast every Monday at 7.30pm in recent weeks, but the show will not air tonight.

Quiz format returns with six hopefuls

Jeremy Clarkson returns with the quiz as six more hopefuls compete for £1 million, with only one player at a time able to take a place in the Hot Seat. Each question is timed, and if a player gets one wrong, they are eliminated, the top prize drops, and the next player takes their place, reports the Daily Star.

Millionaire Hot Seat has a different format to the traditional show.

Two further series commissioned

ITV is yet to confirm a broadcast date for the next series of Fletcher's Family Farm, but fans have plenty to look forward to after Kelvin and Liz revealed that two further series have been commissioned. Fletcher's Family Farm, which first aired in 2023, follows the family of five through the highs and lows of life on their 120-acre Peak District farm.

Following the conclusion of series four earlier this year, ITV confirmed the show would return for series five and six after it attracted record-breaking viewing figures.

Family announces news on Instagram

The Fletchers marked the exciting news in style, sharing a charming clip on Instagram in which their nine-year-old daughter Marnie delivered the announcement. In the video, Marnie is seen calling out excitedly to her dad, who was busy feeding the sheep. "I've got some news!" she yelled, though Kelvin admitted he couldn't hear her.

Undeterred, she then tried to share the update with little brother Milo, who was riding his toy bike, before turning to mum Liz and four-year-old twin brothers Mateusz and Maximus. "What did she say?" they asked each other, before Marnie finally declared: "Guys! The Fletchers are back. Series five and six, let's go!"

The clip was shared on Instagram with the caption: "WE ARE BACK! Who's excited?!" and fans were quick to respond with enthusiasm.

"Absolutely love this show, always lifts me up, such a lovely family," wrote one viewer, while another called it "one of the best things on TV". A third simply said: "Excellent news," as another fan exclaimed: "Fletchers are BACK, let's gooooooooooooooooo." The excitement did not stop there, with one viewer confessing, "Wonderful, wonderful news and amazing family."

In the meantime, all existing series of Fletcher's Family Farm are available to stream on ITVX.
