Celebrity Traitors has returned to screens with a fresh batch of celebrities taking on bigger and better challenges. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the show sees famous faces use their deduction skills to identify the Traitors among them, competing for a £100,000 prize for their chosen charity. The Traitors, meanwhile, secretly 'murder' players while staying under the radar.
The Highland Setting
The series is filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, a 19th-century venue built in the Scottish baronial style. The castle sits on 100 acres of parkland along the banks of the River Alness, 25 miles north of Inverness. Its history dates back to the first Duke of Sutherland, who bought Ardross in the late 1700s and built a hunting lodge on the grounds.
Inside the Castle
The Round Table is where the nightly deliberations take place. Contestants gather to share theories, challenge each other's game plans, and vote to banish a player from the castle. The grand circular table, set against wooden, 19th-century gothic decor, is designed to heighten the drama and allow players to read body language.
The Library serves as a retreat for contestants, who cannot call home or use social media during filming. It is here that much of the scheming unfolds, as alliances form and friendships are tested.
