Gemma Collins to re-enter Big Brother house this Friday

Gemma Collins is set to make a return to the Big Brother house this Friday, a decade after her original stint on the show, according to The Sun.

The TV star, known for her memorable 2016 appearance, will reportedly land in the house as part of the current series. A source said: 'The stage is set for Gemma and all being well, she’ll be arriving on Friday.'

Return Details and Fan Expectations

The insider added: 'Gemma has a lot going on in her work and personal life so there’s still time for changes but above all else Gemma is an intelligent, savvy businesswoman and loves her fans, and knows it would mean a lot to the fandom.'

The latest series has already seen Jedward crash into the house during Double Trouble week. John and Edward Grimes, who first appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 and are good pals with Gemma, ended up having a fight with Lynx in the hot tub.

Possible Appearances and Past Clashes

It has also been reported that Tiffany Pollard could make an appearance, as ITV bosses spice up the non-celeb series. Famously, she clashed with Gemma on their series over a pair of Dolce & Gabbana shoes, sparking a diary room rant.

The insider continued: 'The GC returning to Big Brother is the signing fans could never see coming because her star has ascended far beyond the reality realm in the last decade, for example she’s just launched her own docuseries on Sky.'

Gemma's Iconic Status

Gemma has previously said how much she loves the show, branding herself 'the most iconic housemate'. She said: 'No-one will beat me or top me or ever come close to my wonderful, fabulous performance on Big Brother. I was the most iconic person ever to come off of that show.'

It’s hard to argue with a woman who kicked open a fire escape door four times and demanded: 'Get that fire exit door, I’m off.'

Current Series Controversies

It’s been a tumultuous series so far, having already ruffled feathers with various arguments and controversial remarks. One of the most recent episodes saw the housemates engage in a debate about transgender people’s rights to public bathrooms and gendered sports.

Philip Regan claimed people could 'be classed as a fridge' if they wanted to, before leaving the room after Twinks pushed back over needing 'community'. He accused Twinks of trying to 'cause trouble', with the group advising him to 'get Omar out of that conversation' because 'I know what she’s doing'. Twinks and Omar went on to discuss allyship, with the pair finishing the conversation with a handshake, declaring it was a 'good chat'.
