Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) switches focus in Emmerdale next week and decides she doesn’t want money… she wants a man. Specifically, Ruby Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly).
To be honest, it’s no surprise that Sadie’s attracted to the idea of being Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) partner. He’s a successful businessman, has plenty of money to his name, lives in a big house and is fiercely loyal to Ruby, which might prove to be a problem for Sadie, but maybe she just thinks that if Caleb’s loyal to one wife, he can be loyal to another, right?
Joe’s revenge plot
Apparently burying Ruby alive wasn’t enough to satisfy Joe Tate’s (Ned Porteous) want for revenge on her and Caleb, as he decides to recruit Sadie next week for a new scheme.
Yes, that’s right, in case you missed it, Joe decided to put Ruby in a coffin underground in an attempt to destroy Caleb’s life after the couple plotted to ruin his. Joe had to endure some physical labour during this plot (the horror!), which ultimately proved to be his downfall. Because he hadn’t dug the grave deep enough, or tidied up after himself, Caleb and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) found Ruby quiet quickly, and thankfully managed to save her life.
Sadie’s seduction plan
Coming up, Joe asks Sadie to spy on the Miligans and obtain evidence to destroy them. Before long, Sadie arrives to see Joe and reveals her plan for them both – she thinks she can seduce Caleb and tear the Miligans apart.
Despite Joe warning her how strong Caleb and Ruby are together, Sadie is confident. In the week, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) says to Caleb that Sadie will destroy his life, but Caleb’s incredibly certain that he’s too smart for Sadie King.
Producer teases drama
Teasing the drama that lies ahead in this story, Emmerdale producer, Sophie Roper, said: ‘Sadie King is a force to be reckoned with, but Caleb and Ruby are one of Emmerdale’s most powerful couples, they have been through so much together and have only got stronger.
‘Joe recruiting Sadie does, however, create a dangerous dynamic, and viewers will hopefully be shouting at their screens to warn Caleb of the dangers that lie ahead.’
