EastEnders spoilers follow for Monday's (October 5) episode, which can now be streamed on BBC iPlayer. The episode in question will air at 7:30pm.
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was left reeling to learn that daughter Nancy (Maddy Hill) was pregnant – but the bigger shock came later when she discovered who the father is.
Nancy's Return and the Pregnancy Reveal
With the exception of a fantasy sequence two years ago, Nancy – who first set foot in Walford back in 2013 – was last seen in 2022. This time around, she's back as part of Linda's exit story.
Monday's episode saw her meet with Johnny (Charlie Suff), making it clear that she needed his legal expertise for a situation in which she has found herself. Johnny promised to assist after he dealt with a number of clients but things took a turn when Nancy began to experiencing pains and thus headed to the hospital.
Linda's Discovery and the Father Reveal
Max Branning (Jake Wood) spotted her getting into a cab and reported his discovery back to Linda, who – fearing that Nancy was unwell – made a beeline for Walford general. And she got quite the shock when she spotted her daughter, who confirmed that she is pregnant.
Nancy made clear in the past that she did not want children. Taken aback to learn of her pregnancy, Linda was quick to ask questions, particularly keen to know who the father is. Tension was soon aplenty between the mother and daughter duo, with Nancy reiterating that she didn't want Linda to know and that the pregnancy isn't what she thinks. Overwhelmed with all the questions, she asked her mum to leave.
Lee's Shocking Confession
But as Linda and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) attempted to work out what was going on, a bigger shock followed, with Nancy arriving at the B&B with brother Lee (Danny Hatchard) in tow.
'You wanted to know about the dad', said Nancy to Linda. 'It's me', revealed Lee. 'The baby is mine'.
Linda and Elaine were left utterly speechless. The question is: just what is going on? Is there more to this than meets the eye? As it's safe to say that Nancy and Lee's explanation has left with Linda with more questions than answers!
