Coronation Street viewers believe they have worked out where Jodie Ramsey is hiding after her recent disappearance, and it could spell trouble for her sister Shona.
Jodie, played by Olivia Frances Brown, first appeared earlier this year during the Corriedale crossover. She was held captive by Emmerdale's Graham Foster, played by Andrew Scarborough, but soon broke free. It was later revealed that Jodie was Shona Platt's long-lost sister, harbouring several dark secrets.
Recent trouble at number eight
Jodie has recently been causing problems at number eight, trying to get Shona out of the picture. She began by playing random baby noises in the house to make Shona think she was hearing things. Jodie then replaced her dad Doug's bipolar medication, played by Steve Evets, shortly before his return to hospital. Instead of owning up, she framed Shona's stepdaughter Lily, played by Grace Ashcroft-Gardner, leading Shona to move into the Chariot Square Hotel for a night.
The drama escalated when David, played by Jack P. Shepherd, and Shona worked together to uncover Jodie's hatred of her sister. Jodie pulled a gun on the pair, moments before she was shot in the stomach after a tussle with Shona. Police and an ambulance were called, with David and Shona insisting they were not inside the house when Jodie was shot. Jodie later warned the couple that she was in control and could turn on them at any moment.
Fans predict Jodie's hiding place
Shona later returned to the hospital, where she learned that her sister had discharged herself. Jodie has not been seen since, but several soap fans believe she is lying low in her dad Doug's vacant camper van, located just down the road from number eight.
One person wrote on a Facebook fan page: "I wanted to ask if anyone thinks that Jodie is hiding in her dad's camper van as Shona did not lock the door just closed it." Another added: "I thought that as well!"
A third said: "So if she's hiding there she can still keep an eye on them and can enter the house when they are not there or when Shona is home alone to either mess with her head or Lily's." Someone else echoed the sentiment, saying: "I never thought of that - good one!"
Drama continues for the Platt family
The drama is set to continue for the Platt family, as Sarah's trial, played by Tina O'Brien, has begun following the death of abuser Theo Silverton, played by James Cartwright. Whether Sarah can return home after months behind bars remains to be seen.
Coronation Street airs weekday nights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
