Coronation Street fans think they have worked out Kit Green's next love interest - and it is not Jodie Ramsey, despite them looking rather cosy in current scenes.
Those who follow the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, know that the detective was recently dumped by his girlfriend, Sarah Platt, after she confessed to murder while he was proposing. He put his job on the line to try to help Sarah after she confessed to being the one who killed abuser Theo Silverton. But she has since been arrested and charged with the builder's death, and Kit was warned that if he carried on trying to help and protect her, his job would be at risk.
Kit's recent struggles
Sarah has since dumped him, thinking it is for the best as she faces a long stretch behind bars, but Kit has not been coping well since, appearing to be drinking more than usual, and he has also not been particularly helpful when it comes to looking after Sarah's teenage son, Harry Platt.
However, that is not just because of his break-up. Kit has been taking mystery phone calls, and it has been revealed that he will be shaken by an unexpected cancer diagnosis in another hard-hitting health storyline for the long-running show. But before he is given the devastating stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis, Kit has been seen agreeing to go on a date with Jodie Ramsey, much to Bethany Platt's frustrations as she tries to keep everything together and be there for her mum while she is behind bars.
Fans react to the date
Despite Jodie and Kit's date at the Bistro taking place in Thursday's (September 3) episode of Corrie, with it ending in a kiss, Corrie fans are not convinced that Jodie will actually be Kit's next love interest.
